KEC, the Aldermaston-based EMC interconnect specialist has been appointed as a UK sales partner by Provertha, the German manufacturer of D-sub connectors, hoods, cable assemblies and associated accessories.  In their first joint venture the two companies will share stand C35 at Infrarail exhibition to be held at the NEC Birmingham on 1st to 3rd May 2012.

Paul O’Mahony, Provertha’s European sales and marketing manager said: “KEC is a company that is highly respected and has considerable expertise in the field of EMC interconnect and this, together with KEC’s knowledge of our target markets, particularly the rail industry, is the major reason that we have made this appointment.”

Provertha manufactures a comprehensive range of D-sub connectors, including hoods, accessories and cable assemblies.  Of particular interest for the rail industry is the M12 (D + A-code) field assembly connectors and D-sub “DIE CAST” hoods.  The new Profibus and Canbus products with integrated M12 or internal cable clamps are also a major product focus.

KEC is also showing a selection of high quality EMC connector backshells, bulkhead fittings and glands, EMC conduit products and cable harness assemblies and will demonstrate a new EMC interconnect computer test simulation system developed to ensure EMC interconnect specifications are designed ‘right-first-time’ thus saving on expensive redesign and re-test prior to certification.

About KEC
Based in Aldermaston, KEC has been at the forefront of EMC interconnect technology for many years and has developed and patented a number of highly innovative methods of individual and overall screen termination that are now used in a wide range of connector accessories, bulkhead fittings, cable harness assemblies and associated products.
Long established in the defence and aerospace industry, recent developments and new production techniques now make KEC highly competitive in commercial and industrial areas such as the power distribution, railroad and information technology markets.
KEC has recently developed, in conjunction with the University of Reading, an EMC interconnect computer test simulation system that will save time and cost in designing and manufacturing EMC wiring harness and assemblies.

The company has approval certification from many major companies and is ISO 9001:2008 ratified, has been assessed to EN9100P by Rolls-Royce and holds ISO14001:2004 approval.
